About ME
My name is Chase Coble, a sports broadcaster/journalist from Olpe Kansas. My love for sport is rooted deeply within me as I have been playing basketball, football and golf for as long as I can remember. I am very competitive and that fire still burns as I compete on the golf team at Washburn University, where I also study mass media with an emphasis in contemporary journalism. My golf career took me from a state championship in high school, to an all American season at Hutchinson Community College, to where I am now. I also learned to love journalism in high school while serving as the sports editor of the school paper, and naturally my two passions fused and led me down the path of sports journalism. As I pursue my degree I am also working as head play-by-play commentator for high school football and basketball at ESPN 99.5 in Emporia Kansas. Some other little tidbits about me, I grew up in the country raising cattle with my parents, so I know the value of hard work and have never been afraid to get my hands dirty. I love to hunt and fish, and I have a chocolate lab, Fiona, who is basically my child. I truly do appreciate you taking the time to visit my website, and may God bless you!
